I am going to use grandiose language and make a 'holy trinity' of things that inspired me to learn programming over the years.
One - Escape Velocity, an old open world, open source space game.
Two - Processing, a dead simple visual coding environment
And Three - GHI.

GHI is a phenomenal place to learn code, because you have a huge database to work with "db_azeroth", and you know the instant you finish something, you can implement it.

Mostly just laying on the praise here, but also wondering - what do you think about elevating the 'Script' widget out of the 'Other' category? It's the fundamental widget I use, and I remember it took me a while to find starting out.

I could see GHI being adopted by learning groups who happen to play WoW if it was more widely seen as a scripting tool. I know for instance that the head of MIT Media Lab ran a guild for a few years.
